A Message From Our Director
Dear reader,
We’ve trained hundreds of companies and organizations every year on how to follow inclusive hiring practices.
That process is much more extensive than having a casual conversation and assessing chemistry because actually, managers tend to overestimate their ability to make accurate judgments based on intuition.
And while yes, it’s great to find people you wouldn’t mind spending time with (cue in the famous airport test) it’s not that simple.
The hiring process that my team uses, by contrast, helps us find people who think differently, or push us out of our comfort zone – and that’s what I want. I want team members who are excellent at what they do, who believe in our mission, and who will help us get there – even if we don’t agree all the time.
