Happy Friday!
Whenever we run a large-scale hiring initiative, we’re never quite sure which timeline to prioritize. Depending on company industry and size, we see hiring timelines vastly differ and someone always loses out.
Last month, my data colleague (read: amazing superstar who we could not survive without) published an internal dashboard that showed peak times in which students are applying and engaging with our job board, Handshake.
And guess what? We took all that data and summarized it in a nice timeline for you 😉 There are some interesting insights, including: the 2 months you should absolutely have your roles posted & available for max engagement.
For those of you with very precise hiring timelines, see how it matches up to when our students are applying and for those of you who have never been quite sure how to organize it, here’s your guidebook.
- Future Fest is our biggest hiring event of the year: ~2k students in attendance (half undergrad, half masters+, ~50% engineers), in-person and virtual options.
- We’re bringing together Carey MBA students with industry leaders, alum, and you at the Corporate Networking Breakfast. It’s not until December, but can’t hurt to plan 🙂
What we’re up to
- Our SAIS students visited companies (including Tesla, Netflix, and the European Union Office in San Francisco) to explore careers in tech and energy.
- $40k to SAIS winners in 3rd annual Walmart Global Policy Challenge (tackling issues like sustainability, data, and DE&I)
