Register for this event and we will send you the direct link of the recording from the event where: Panelists from Eli Lilly, Bristol Myers Squibb, Visterra and BioSpace’s Career Coach discussed how students and early-stage professionals can enter the biotech industry.There were so many great nuggets of advice, but these were my key takeaways: 1 – Be yourself. Don’t try to be what you think a company wants, but bring your authentic self, story and personality. You will be hired for YOU, not your resume. Relax, don’t stress and be yourself. 2 – Storytelling is Key- on your resume and in your interview. Use the STAR method. (including below) Your ability to give examples of how you have worked with others, solved problems, innovated and collaborated can make or break your success. Start with the company’s values and build stories around how you have demonstrated these. 3 – Bring your Passion and Energy. Make it clear you want the job! (if you do) Ask questions that show you are very interested and curious. Send thank you notes! Make it undeniable you want this.
