DLDS: CareerKit - Writing Resumes for Industry and Nonprofits

A strong resume can open the door to new professional opportunities in industry and nonprofits. In this workshop, we will explain what makes a resume effective, help you translate your academic experience into employer-relevant language, and explore ways to tailor your resume for specific roles. You will leave with a clear structure to follow, concrete techniques for resume writing, and the confidence to tell your story in new professional contexts.  This workshop is part of CareerKit, a weekly series for doctoral and postdoctoral scholars that covers key steps in preparing for a range of career paths. Each session includes a 30-minute lesson followed by a 30-minute practicum, so you can learn practical strategies and apply them right away with feedback. You’re welcome to attend for just the first 30 minutes or stay for the full hour.
