DLDS: CareerKit- Preparing for Behavioral Interviews
Behavioral interviews are a widely used format for evaluating candidates across job sectors. In this workshop, we will demystify what interviewers are really looking for, introduce the STAR method for structuring your responses, and guide you in developing impactful stories that highlight your strengths. You’ll leave with a clear framework for crafting strong answers, examples to guide your preparation, and strategies to build confidence when responding on the spot. This workshop is part of CareerKit, a weekly series for doctoral and postdoctoral scholars that covers key steps in preparing for a range of career paths. Each session includes a 30-minute lesson followed by a 30-minute practicum, so you can learn practical strategies and apply them right away with feedback. You’re welcome to attend for just the first 30 minutes or stay for the full hour.
