The Life Design Lab is proud to announce the fifth annual Future Fest Career Fair, Hopkin’s Fall recruitment program that fosters authentic connections between employers and the Hopkins community! This year will feature 4 opportunities for our employer partners to recruit students including our Virtual STEM Career Fair on September 16, Identity-Based Student Organization Showcase on September 19, the In Person Career Fair on September 20, and our Future Fest Hiring Initiative occurring from September 6-23. Be sure to register early to secure your spot in our largest recruiting event across all 9 Hopkins Divisions that sees over 2,000 student participants.   

  • What: Connect with students to hire for open positions, build your brand across Hopkins campus, and meet incredible talent. 
  • Where: Ralph O’Connor Recreation Center on Homewood Campus 
  • Who: All Hopkins students including undergraduate, masters, and PHD students are invited 
  • Registration: Includes up to 4 representatives 8’ table, 2 chairs, coffee, water, and parking for a corporation or for non-profit corporation.  
  • Cost: $800 For-Profit Organizations and $300 Government, Small Business, and Nonprofit

Engage with STEM students by registering for the virtual fair where you will organize1:1 sessions through Handshake and can host on your own personal video platform (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, etc.). You will also be able to host group sessions if you prefer.  

  • What: Connect with students virtually 1:1 for 10 minutes or in small groups for 30 minutes to recruit for open positions, build your brand across Hopkins campus, and meet incredible talent. 
  • Where: Handshake will host our virtual STEM career fair. You can schedule 1:1 or group sessions with students and create your own. After your registration is reviewed, you will receive more information on setting up your schedule for you and your representatives.  
  • Who: All Hopkins students including undergraduate, masters, and PHD students are invited 
  • Cost: $500 for corporation and for-profit organizations and $200 for Government, Small Business, and Nonprofit

Have a question about our fairs? 

  • What: Connect with personnel and student leaders in an evening networking mixer. You will first get to meet Hopkins staff members to learn about the student population and upcoming opportunities to participate in. Then, you will hear from leaders from diverse identity-based student organizations about how their identity manifests to achieve the goals of their organization and what skills they are learning from their experience in the organization. The event will conclude with an hour speed networking with student leaders. 
  • Where: Ralph O’Connor Recreation Center on Homewood Campus 
  • Who: Primarily Undergraduate Student Organization Leaders 
  • Registration: Registration includes a buffet dinner and can be completed through the Future Fest In Person Career Fair at the following link.

  • What: The Future Fest Hiring Initiative is an opportunity where we will take the lead in posting your positions on Handshake, promoting them students, and providing you with an application book from all students who are interested in your positions! We have seen by having targeted promotion over a short period, we can prepare our students to be top applicants and garner more interest in the positions posted.  
  • When: Job descriptions must be received by September 5. Roles will be promoted September 6-22. You will receive an application book in your inbox on September 23

Employer Expectations:

  • Review all applications and provide updates on candidates hiring status in a timely manner 
  • Make final hiring decisions before or around November 4, 2024. 
  • Provide students with 2 weeks to make their final decision around accepting or rejecting (to help decrease reneges) 
  • Update the LDL staff by November 25th on offers and hires made
