Association for Computing Machinery, JHU

The student chapter of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) at Johns Hopkins is dedicated to furthering the knowledge and advancement of computers and information technology through the free exchange of ideas and information.

ACM hosts exciting events that prepare members for the internship season and allow them to network with technical/campus recruiters and alumni. Members can also gain competitive programming experience through our ACM-ICPC team and join interest groups in areas such as web development and robotics.

While we host technical events that support interest in technology and computer science, you can also take part in social events that are hosted throughout the year to connect with other ACM members and even faculty in the CS department. We also have food and drinks at these events 🙂

Members get J-Card access to the ACM Lounge in Malone Hall so you can come in at any time, 24/7. The lounge is a great place to just relax with friends or even (gasp!) work. The Lounge features an open space where you can snack on food or use our gaming setup (including a Nintendo Switch, GameCube, PlayStation) to create your own community within ACM.
