Our mission is to foster relationships and community among LGBTQ+ students at JHU by creating a safe, relaxing space for them to engage with one another. We also want to raise awareness for LGBTQ+ issues and ensure that campus at large is valuing and respecting its LGBTQ+ members.
DSAGA functions primarily as a social club, offering members a safe, welcoming space to engage with other members of the LGBTQ+ community at Hopkins.
DSAGA should provide a safe place for LGBTQ+ students to meet one another and discuss things that are important to them. We want members to feel welcomed and accepted as a part of both the DSAGA community and JHU’s LGBTQ+ community at large. Furthermore, our presence and outreach to the campus as a whole should encourage everyone to acknowledge, respect, and appreciate the LGBTQ+ community.
