SHPE promotes the development of Hispanics in engineering, science, and other technical professions to achieve educational excellence, economic opportunity, and social equity. SHPE develops and participates in programs with the university and industry that are beneficial to students seeking a technical degree. It also creates a learning environment where LatinX engineers and scientists feel comfortable obtaining advice and information pertinent to engineers/science students enrolled at Hopkins!
There are more than 200 student chapters across the nation, ensuring that if youÃÃÃre a Hispanic in STEM, you are not alone. As a chapter member, you receive the benefits of a large, well-connected, national organization but with a personal, local emphasis on what you need right now. SHPE offers networking, resume building, mentorship, skill development, and career advancement.
