The Trans* Affinity and Education Group is a Johns Hopkins medical student-led group whose mission is to cultivate the development of trans*-conscious providers by providing auxiliary instruction to JHMI students across the SOM and SON. We are also an affinity group whose intent is to bring together trans*-identifying individuals within Johns Hopkins Medicine foster a well-connected community. We welcome participation from all interested JHSOM students, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity.â¯
– Connect with other trans* trainees, and trainees and staff interested in trans* health across Johns Hopkins Medicine
– Learn to be as trans*-conscious a provider as possible through discussion and workshop facilitation
– Facilitate trans* individuals at Hopkins finding community at a large institution where our demographic is underrepresented
– Enrich JHMI trainee education by facilitating workshops where students can practice trans*-conscious care
