Get to Know Eva

What are your superpowers inside and outside of work?

One of my biggest superpowers is my ability to recall specific conversations and stories with surprising clarity. I first realized this when I worked in market research, I could remember quotes and anecdotes from interviews even weeks later, and I often used those stories to highlight key insights in reports and client presentations. It’s a skill that’s followed me into every role. Outside of work, it helps me build strong, thoughtful relationships—I’m the person who remembers the little things people say, and I think that helps others feel seen and heard.”

What excites you most about your job?

Working in higher education has been genuinely exciting for me. I’ve always been curious about how things function behind the scenes at a university, beyond what students typically experience. Being part of the Hire Hopkins team has given me a unique perspective into how career services operate, especially when it comes to employer engagement. It’s been eye-opening to understand the level of planning, communication, and relationship-building that goes into creating meaningful career opportunities.”

If time and money were no issue, what are the jobs that you would be doing?

If time and money weren’t a factor, I think I’d want to do a different job every day. I’ve always had a wide range of interests and have found it difficult to commit to just one path. One day, I’d love to run a small business selling handmade crochet items – something creative and hands-on. Another day, I’d be a professor teaching behavioral sciences, a field I’ve long been fascinated by. And I’ve always dreamed of starting or leading an NGO back home in India focused on raising awareness and improving access to feminine hygiene products, an issue I feel deeply connected to. Rather than trying to narrow everything down, I’ve embraced the idea of taking on different roles during different phases of my life, and that variety really excites me.”
