Kristen Nixon is a first year PhD student in the Center for Systems Science and Engineering. For the past two years, she has been involved in real-time forecasting efforts for the CDC COVID-19 Forecast Hub. Her research interests include sociotechnical systems, data-driven decision making, technology ethics, and science translation. Before starting her doctoral studies, Kristen completed a BS in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at JHU. In her free time, she likes hiking, biking, and listening to audiobooks.
