Allied Health – Integrative Health Practitioner

Duke Integrative Medicine Integrative Health and Medicine (or Integrative Health and Wellness) is a unique field that combines expert knowledge from a variety of health professions to create a holistic approach to healthcare and treatment. Certification in integrative health care can be obtained independently of another professional degree or in addition to another professional degree in a health-related field. The goal of integrative health is to combine complementary health approaches (including fields such as nutrition, therapy, acupuncture, narrative health, and chiropractic) to administer the most effective treatment for patients’ and clients’ overall physical and mental well-being. Professionals in this field are lifelong learners who are also flexible and open to collaboration and creativity.
