Military Crosswalk Search

Crosswalks connect occupations in the O*NET database to other classification systems. Use these files to relate external data to O*NET-SOC occupations, or to link O*NET data to occupations in another classification.

O*NET Military Transition Search

The military search within O*NET OnLine and My Next Move for Veterans combines several sources of military occupation linkages. For details, see the Military Transition Search report.

The crosswalk files below include: Classification of Instructional Programs (CIP), Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), and Registered Apprenticeship Partners Information Data System (RAPIDS). The CIP crosswalk is based on data from the National Center for Education Statistics external site. Occupations in the O*NET database are based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) external site system. Visit our O*NET-SOC Taxonomy page to learn more.Download:

European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO)

This crosswalk connects the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) external site classification with the O*NET-SOC Taxonomy. The mapping of the two classifications was performed by combining the use of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques with human validation.
