Participation Requirements

By participating in JobsForJays events you agree to: 

  • Coordinating interviews and making offers by mid may 
  • Providing 2 weeks for a student to make a decision on an offer
  • Informing students application status and in a timely manner  
  • Informing hiring outcomes to our Employer Engagement Team by early June   

Best Practices for Job/Internship Descriptions Samples: 

  • List job/internship; listing salary information increases applications by 30%. 
  • Focus on skills and not only experience. 
  • Use inclusive language (doesn’t use language that turns people away like “preferred” and invites interested candidates.  
  • Explain the role in terms that an early professional would understand. 
  • Highlight applicant benefits and mention growth opportunities. 
  • List general qualifications and accept a wide variety of majors to expand your application parameters.
