Participation Requirements
By participating in JobsForJays events you agree to:
- Coordinating interviews and making offers by mid may
- Providing 2 weeks for a student to make a decision on an offer
- Informing students application status and in a timely manner
- Informing hiring outcomes to our Employer Engagement Team by early June
Best Practices for Job/Internship Descriptions Samples:
- List job/internship; listing salary information increases applications by 30%.
- Focus on skills and not only experience.
- Use inclusive language (doesn’t use language that turns people away like “preferred” and invites interested candidates.
- Explain the role in terms that an early professional would understand.
- Highlight applicant benefits and mention growth opportunities.
- List general qualifications and accept a wide variety of majors to expand your application parameters.
