Skin Protection Awareness and Reach for Kids is a medical student-led group dedicated to promoting pediatric skin health through fun and engaging educational activities.
Our goals are to teach children about the importance of skin care, hygiene, and safety in a way that is both accessible and enjoyable. We value hands-on learning, community engagement, and the compassionate connection fostered by working directly with pediatric patients. By combining evidence-based information with fun, interactive activities, our group strives to empower children to understand and take care of their skin. Our activities and events will center on hosting interactive educational sessions with pediatric patients and children in the broader community. These sessions will be designed around standardized child education models, ensuring accuracy and age-appropriate content. During these sessions, we will cover essential topics such as daily skin care routines, the importance of skin hygiene, recognizing and treating bug bites, identifying and avoiding poisonous plants, and practicing sun safety. Bâây offering this educational niche, SPARK hopes to provide a valuable service while also bringing joy and empowerment to the children we work with.
