The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) is seeking interns to assist with media research and monitor MEMRI’s social media activity as well as media coverage of MEMRI research and other relevant topics.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to explore and learn about media coverage of foreign affairs and national security issues and to improve social media skills. The intern may come into contact with and possibly work with top scholars and others in these fields and/or engage in one-of-a-kind cutting-edge research, in addition to their basic research and administrative tasks.
Candidates should have an interest in the Middle East as well as some research experience. Social media skills preferred. Candidates will ideally be able to commit to 15 hours and a minimum of 3 days or more per week. Position may be paid, depending on a candidate’s skills and experience.

The MEMRI Internship Program, now in its 21st year, has hosted two generations of young people from top universities across the country seeking to prepare for and launch careers in government agencies and other vital areas. Graduates of the program are today on staff in offices across Washington: on Capitol Hill, in the White House, in the Departments of State, Homeland Security, in leading military units at the Pentagon, and elsewhere, and are leading counter-terrorism agencies.
Exceptional applicants accepted into our internship program may receive part-time pay, based on experience and availability.
