At Genteract we have developed a uniquely powerful (patented) method for discovering gene-environment interactions. We are coupling our discovery methods with innovative machine learning techniques that serve as intermediate layers and decision layers for making predictions about how patients will respond to drugs.
We have access to and are conducting analysis on a number of large sets of clinical study data, including the Framingham Heart Study, the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis, and others.
The Pharmacogenomics Research Intern will work as part of the team doing tasks such as:
- Writing code for and performing data preparation, including data extraction and collation of phenotype and environment (including drug) data for different clinical exam periods
- Running data analyses
- Providing input and potentially contributing to new methods to be added to the analysis pipelines
- Potentially participating in and/or writing research papers for publication.
A knowledge of R and/or Python, and Linux is required, along with some background in data science or analysis. Knowledge of and/or experience with genomic and medical data is a plus.
The position is part time and fully remote. If interested please send:
- Your CV
- A sample of some code you’ve written
- Any other information that could be helpful
Thanks for your interest and for taking a look!
