NIH F Award Grant Writing Workshop

The NIH F Award Grant Writing Workshop series aims to prepare trainees for writing and obtaining an F-series grant from the NIH.

This is a two-day, in-person workshop and will cover all of the F-series applications:
• the F30 grant (Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral NRSA for MD/PhD and other Dual Degree Fellowships);
• the F31 grant (Ruth L. Kirschstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award); and
• the F32 grant (Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award).

This event is open to all doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows, including international scholars. While the F-series of grants is only open to U.S. citizens, non-citizen nationals, or permanent residents, the grant writing strategies are application to other grant writing opportunities.

When and Where:
• Day 1 – Monday, June 3rd, 2024 at 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM EST in PCTB 115, East Baltimore campus (Stile Classroom)
• Day 2 – Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM EST in PCTB 115, East Baltimore campus (Stile Classroom)

About our Speaker: Dr. Andrew D. Hollenbach, Author of “A Practical Guide to Writing a Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Grant” is the Co-director, Basic Science Curriculum, Louisiana State University School of Medicine & Professor, Department of Genetics, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, New Orleans, LA USA. He has long-standing experience providing key suggestions and recommendations on how to best construct each section of the F award application.
