Western Midstream (WES) is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.
We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.
Job Summary
As a GIS Administrator at Western Midstream, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with the Spatial Data team, utilizing ESRI software to manage and optimize Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This position is based in The Woodlands, TX, as a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our GIS infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Work with the Spatial Data Team and various team members to facilitate survey collection that will meet WES survey data collection standards and processes.
- Maintain and manage the data to ensure data integrity with respect to spatial and attribute accuracy. Provide spatial data extracts, analyze data for cleanliness and communicate results.
- Development of business solutions to help various WES teams implement procedures to further enhance safety measures in the field.
- Maintain communication with both corporate and field team for verification of data.
- Work with team members to provide data management and assistance in completing MOC updates.
- Support data migration efforts and utilization of data with adherence to Pipeline Data Compliance
- Conduct data quality assessments and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Collect, validate, and maintain geospatial datasets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Have working knowledge of FME or Python and Microsoft SharePoint with Power Automate.
Qualifications:
- Experience with ESRI desktop software- ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro
- Ability to run geo-processing tools.
- Skilled in data editing and running selection queries.
- Mapping and analytical skills
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Portal
- Model Builder, FME or Python skills are a plus.
- Microsoft Office Suite & Teams
- SharePoint and Power Automate are a plus.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, or GIS/Technology related field.
Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.
Certification/Licenses
GIS certification program is a plus.
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%
Work Schedule
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
