The primary purpose of the Medical Ethics Discussion Panel (MED Panel) is to foster discussion of current medical ethics issues and changing healthcare policies while encouraging students to articulate their thoughts on sensitive topics.
Members are able to engage and network with their student peers and professors from various divisions of Johns Hopkins University regarding pressing ethical issues in medicine and public health. In addition, free pizza and beverages are provided to attendees for in-person meetings.
Our goals include providing students the platform to connect with others of similar interest, discuss and find solutions to pressing medical ethics issues, foster growth and education to transform students aspiring to enter the medical field into well-rounded individuals with strong ethical knowledge, and provide for a safe and open space for the sharing of diverse thought and ideas regarding medical ethics.
