A Message From Our Director

Dear reader,

This week I was having lunch with a colleague I admire (she’s value-based, has impeccable boundaries, and holds people accountable, to start). Over tacos and soup she shared with me the work of Tricia Hershey who wrote Rest is Resistance (it’s now on my Libby and I haven’t yet read it) but I’m drawn to it’s philosophy. The idea that focusing on stillness and restoration by actively carving time out for ourselves is a way “to undergird all our efforts” in the meaningful work that we do.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, I hope you’ll take the time for yourself, reinforcing your foundation. We’ll be here when you get back (and have a lot of opportunities for you as you’ll see below) – so schedule them on your calendar, let go for a few days, and we’ll see you in December!

And you didn’t think we’d leave you without something useful, did you? We’re a big fan of using rubrics for interviews and we built you a guide and a template. You can find that here.

Warmly,

Alia

P.S. Our last training of the year is free and it’s on December 7th. In it, you’ll be guided on how to complete an anti-racism and gender inventory for your company or organization. Get your spot here.

Revamp your evaluation approach with the magic of rubrics— it’s not just any tool, it’s a game-changer. Rubrics make sure everyone’s on the same page, creating a level field for all candidates. But wait, there’s more! This nifty tool doesn’t just stop at fairness. It’s the efficiency boost your assessment process has been craving, saving you precious time and effort. You can tailor them to sync seamlessly with your organization’s goals, helping you make insightful, data-driven decision-making.

Ready to elevate your evaluations? Dive into our blog to uncover how rubrics can revolutionize your approach!
