This week we’ve been hosting one of our biggest recruiting events at the university: Future Fest.
A couple of evenings ago, I was in the thick of it with other recruiters, getting students to practice talking about their skills, their experiences, and interests without explicitly mentioning their major.
Why does this matter?
BCG shared in a 2023 report that 54% of college grads don’t work in their field of study. And that’s not only completely true for me, but also for many of our friends + hiring partners too. Come join us in the conversation on LinkedIn.
Also, a big desire we’ve heard from employers in our research has been a desire for quality over quantity when it comes to job apps. 56% of students reported that a company’s proactive engagement significantly influenced their decision to accept an offer (NACE). In this months blog post, Daniela shares ways to engage with students beyond the superficial.
